A BETTER BEARD IN 5 EASY STEPS

Comb your beard in the direction that it grows to help reveal stray hairs that may be longer than the others.

Cut the outline of your beard. Starting at your chin and working back toward your jawbone and ears, cut the outer perimeter of your jawbone underneath. Continue the line all the way up to the ear and hairline.

Accentuate your beard line by using the groomsman trimmer in a downward motion, with the nameplate side next to the skin. start at the line you've created and, working from the chin back toward the ears, trim the area right under your beard line. You should define the upper part of your beard using the same horizontal technique.

MULTI-POSITION BEARD REGULATOR: Trim and taper the hair ends with the unique multi-position beard regulator attachment included with your Groomsman Trimmer.

To use this attachment, simply slide it over the blades and snap it into position. There are five settings molded into the beard regulator with the first indent setting (farthest distance away from blades) leaving your beard length the longest (approximately 5/8"(16 mm)). The other indent trimming lengths are 1/2"(13 mm), 3/8"(10 mm), 1/4"(6 mm), and 1/8"(3 mm).

With the beard regulator attachment set at a fairly long trimming length, begin trimming your beard. For best results, start at each sideburn and trim toward your chin in smooth, overlapping strokes, with the grain of your beard. (If you trim against the grain, the trimmer will trim hair much shorter.)

You should use progressively closer settings until you reach the desired length of beard. You may wish to set the beard regulator attachment to cut closer near the ear and down under the throat, changing to a longer setting toward the front of the face and point of your chin.

Be sure the beard regulator is snapped solidly into the desired position before you start to trim.

JAWLINE BLENDER: For a neater finished look, use the jawline blender which is also included with your trimmer. To use the jawline blender, simply insert one side of the attach- ment over the front of the blades, and then push the other side back until both sides are locked into position.

Then using the trimmer in an upward motion, with nameplate facing away from you, start trimming under the chin with short, outward, rolling strokes. Continue trimming until entire jawline is blended.

To remove the attachment, pull tab away from one side to release attachment from trimmer. Use somewhat of a rolling pressure action, with your thumb on top and index finger underneath.
