Graphic Artist

Location - Sterling, Illinois

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of consumer and professional grooming products, is looking to fill the role of Graphic Designer at our Sterling, Illinois facility.  This role is responsible for development of 3-D renderings, visual aids and packaging materials for various divisions.

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • 3-D renderings of products
  • Knowledge of video editing software
  • Completes projects for marketing and sales including packaging designs, product instruction booklets, etc.
  • Creates world class packaging designs by seeking input from cross functional teams on packaging and graphics concepts.
  • Prepare and release final artwork to specific printing companies’ electronic pre-press department. Resolve any color and/or graphic issues that may arise.
  • Complete various display projects and mock-ups of packaged product.

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic, industrial design, or related field or three (3) plus years of experience
  • 3D modeling experience using KeyShot, SolidWorks and/or Rhino 3D
  • Experience using After Effects; knowledge of video equipment a plus
  • Knowledge of and ability to proficiently use Macintosh computer and graphic software i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Proven creative and artistic skills

Marketing Project Coordinator

Location - Sterling, Illinois

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of consumer and professional grooming products, is looking to fill the role of Marketing Project Coordinator for Trimmers and Massagers product line at our Sterling, Illinois facility.  

The Marketing Project Coordinator will assist the Product Manager in the administration, coordination and implementation of the following:

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify consumer requirements, defining market share, competitor’s share, strengths and weaknesses
  • Work with local marketing and sales management teams on product portfolio needs to bring to market
  • Maintain and work with factories in setting up SKU Product Change notices (PCN) and Product Request Forms (PRF) for products to be manufactured or changed.
  • Collaborate with the graphics team to develop and enhance product packaging; ensuring messaging that speaks to the consumer and wins at the shelf
  • Develop commercial marketing materials; create customer specific and/or business review presentations utilizing data, charts and other requested visual aids
  • Understand end to end pricing structure
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Engineering, Purchasing, Production Control and Finance
  • Coordinate International Marketing activities through subsidiary network ensuring cohesive brand messaging and communication
  • Conduct online research to discover customer’s needs/wants for current and future products
  • Coordinate the annual trade show in Chicago to support development of business in the Latin America territory.
  • Assemble product samples – both prototypes and finished goods as needed
  • Understand and implement customer/country requirements, special labels, markings etc. as they relate to the product.
  • Understand product transitions, artwork and/or kit changes, work through unique components
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor to achieve corporate sales and profit objectives

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a marketing or communications field required; experience in consumer packaged goods marketing and new product development preferred
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment.
  • Good at managing project tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Foreign language skills and international experience preferred
  • Excellent organization and communication skills required
  • Ideally, working knowledge of Web and Social Media programs

Financial Accounting Manager

Location - Sterling, Illinois

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of consumer and professional grooming products, is looking to fill the role of Financial Accounting Manager at our Sterling, Illinois facility.  Reporting to the North America CFO, this position plays a key role in the general and financial accounting activities of the company.

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the general ledger and monthly financial closing.
  • Perform account analysis in support of the financial closing and annual audit.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist with the generation of financial reporting & analysis, along with the development of business financial plans.
  • Supervise payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed asset functions.
  • Participate in continuous effort to improve the accounting system and underlying business processes.

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Five (5) plus years of general accounting experience and two (2) plus years as a manager of an accounting staff preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Wahl is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer that will interface and support our factory and suppliers located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This position will be located in our global headquarters in Sterling, IL. The candidate must be fluent in Vietnamese (verbal and written) and must be able to travel to Vietnam frequently.
