  • Serve as the technical design and project leadership functions on product development teams
  • Develop appropriate project costs, performance requirements and schedule. Focus activities to meet these goals

  • Create 3D solid models

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in an appropriate engineering discipline (BSME preferred, equivalent years of experience and an Associate’s Degree will be considered)

IT Infrastructure Manager

Location - Sterling, Illinois

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and team-oriented individual to fill the role of IT Infrastructure Manager at Wahl Clipper Co., in Sterling, IL.  This role is responsible for architecting, expanding, implementing, supporting, operating, and maintaining Wahl Clipper Corp. IT infrastructure of technologies and platforms supporting a complex corporate data and voice infrastructure, including hardware, software, and communications equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Planning, implementing, supporting, and maintaining security systems, firewalls, spam filters, malware, virus protection, and policies to provide requisite protection against viruses and other destructive or invasive software.
  • Planning, implementing, supporting, and maintaining equipment, systems, and policies to prevent data loss, and loss of computing capability. Also responsible for business continuity plan, data back-up and disaster recovery of Wahl Clipper’s IT systems.
  • Planning, implementing, supporting, and maintaining hardware, software and connectivity components by analyzing the functionality of infrastructure framework and designing and planning major upgrades and changes to ensure reliability and availability.
  • Planning, implementing, supporting, and maintaining all hardware, software and infrastructure used for network, communications, server administration, server virtualization, data storage (SAN), application delivery (CITRIX), and mobile device management.

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Sciences preferred.
  • 5 years relevant experience

Information Technology Project Manager

Location - Sterling, Illinois

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager hoping to make a big impact on our business.   The first project would be to head up our New ERP system implementation.  This position will be based in Sterling, IL.  The IT Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that customer needs are satisfied through managing and coordinating specific informational technology and business deliverables.  Manages and/or directs Wahl Clipper Corp. project team, contract staff and third party vendors.  Responsible for planning, designing, developing, acquiring, documenting, testing, implementing, integrating, maintaining and modifying IT/business systems for the organization.  

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing complex IT/business projects consisting of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of product from concept to post implementation.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through production, interfacing with the sponsor, stakeholders, and customers regarding initial delivery. Utilizes visual management system to monitor progress of projects.
  • Manages the development stage of the system life cycle, may include, planning, designing, developing, acquiring, documenting, testing, implementing, integrating, maintaining and modifying IT/business systems.
  • Translates information, process and workflow findings and requirements into detailed specifications for new or enhanced systems.
  • Analyze information requirements throughout the enterprise. Document information requirements and all related processes in both current and desired future state.
  • Coordinate and facilitate work groups involved in the analysis, selection and implementation phases.

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business/Engineering with strong IT coursework
  • The ability to help translate business needs to effective, simple IT solutions while working with a variety of business processes and leaders and ability to partner with Middle and Senior Managers to achieve business goals is required
  • Preferred Licenses / Certifications PMI or PMP certifications or formal course work desired.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects of $500,000 budget or more.
  • Demonstrated experience managing ERP system implementation, Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Purchasing, Buying with increasing demonstrated responsibilities.

Journeyman Progressive Tool & Die Maker W/ High Speed Stamping - 1st shift

Location - Sterling, Illinois

Wahl Clipper is searching for experienced and dedicated individuals to join our Tool Room Team!

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build new, repairs, rebuilds and/or overhauls all types of production progressive dies/injection molds and service equipment.
  • Set up and operate all types of tool-room equipment and tools, considering the various types of materials, tolerances, cutting tools, coolants and machine tool’s feeds/speeds.
  • This position works with extremely close tolerances and grinds all types of special tools.
  • Traces tool difficulties to their source and corrects them.

Assistant Product Manager - Consumer Division

Location - Sterling, Illinois

Our North American Consumer Sales and Marketing is experiencing amazing growth as such we are in need of an Assistant Product Manager for our Male Grooming division.   This role provides market analysis and helps in the creation and formation of products.  They work closely with the Sr. Product Manager of Grooming, Sr. Vice President and the Divisional Vice President to insure a sound business strategy.  They assist in managing the various men’s grooming product lines including product development, design, packaging, sampling, pricing and insure proper communication among the various value streams and departments.
