Staff Accountant

Location - Sterling, Illinois

International Product Manager

Location - Sterling, Illinois

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and team-oriented individual to fill the role of International Product Manager at Wahl Clipper Co., in Sterling, IL.   The Product Manager is responsible for defining, developing, pricing, and the promotion of grooming products for the Professional Human and Professional/Consumer Animal Division.

The International Product Manager works to maximize the company’s market share and category position through product assortments that meet local market needs, as well as through the sharing of global best practices. The Sterling International division overall supports the regional growth of Wahl outside of North America, with territories at varying degrees of development. This is a very dynamic and fast growing segment of the Wahl business, with significant growth expected in the coming years.

The Product Manager works to determine customer requirements via research (surveys, ethnographic research, conjoint studies, etc.), market visits, competitive analysis and customer interaction. This Manager then champions local needs on behalf of international subsidiaries into unique product assortment strategies, and educational/training campaigns. This team member is also instrumental in maintaining open lines of communication relating to Domestic initiatives that are viable for international markets.

Travel: 15-20%, including local market visits, trade shows and vendor visits.  
 
The effectiveness of this manager is measured by the ability of this position to cultivate professional relationships and grow their product categories, sales, profit and market share.

  • Be the subject matter expert for professional and animal grooming products.
  • Identify opportunities to expand brand and product category presence to ensure Wahl offers the best assortment for local market needs.

Compliance Data Coordinator

Assistant Service Manager

Production Designer

Location - Sterling, Illinois

The Production Designer is responsible for the development of visual aids, promotional materials, packaging materials, presentation materials, etc. for the various Divisions.

 

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Team consists of a Production Designer and Senior Designer working with multiple product managers on multiple product lines. There will be specialization and expertise of two individuals within a team as well as creative input of the group while cross checking each other's artwork.
  • Production Designer will be responsible for but not limited to instruction book creation, editing, releasing and post release. Production Designer will work with channel manager to create artwork for in-store displays that use a style guide.
  • Production Designer receives work, decided upon by Senior Designer, for changes and variations that are needed and can work directly with product managers. Some of the work will need to be reviewed by Senior Designer for consistency.
  • The Production Designer will provide an update to the Senior Designer on all current open projects daily at the end of the day or beginning of the next. The daily meeting is also utilized to estimate time necessary to complete future projects.
  • The Production Designer works with the Senior Designer to maintain the Job Log System. This is a record of what is required to complete a project, target date, project status update and date completed. The Job Log System includes any documentation necessary for the completion of the project.
  • After the Sr. Designer prepares final artwork, the Production Designer may release to specific printing companies.
  • Production Designer will perform some of the Post-Release procedure after final packaging artwork released to printing companies. A Post-Release consists of, but not limited to, updating images used for sales support and moving images from a temporary location to a permanent backed-up location.

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

  • Satisfactory completion of assigned projects for sales and marketing per agreed upon schedule. Communicates progress to Senior Designer and/or Creative Services Manager.
  • Develops graphs, charts and visual aids for customer specific sales presentations as assigned by supervisor.
  • Performs administrative/clerical projects and other work as assigned by Senior Designer and/or Creative Services Manager.
  • Maintain a Job Log System.

Experience

  • Minimum of Associates degree, Bachelor in graphic design/related field preferred and two or more years of experience.

Key Account Manager

Location - Sterling, Illinois

The Key Account Manager is in our Consumer Sales Division working in partnership with the National Sales Managers and other sales personnel with all activities affecting the sales and marketing of Wahl products to Amazon, Costco, Target & Walmart. The Key Account Manager will have co-responsibility for outside accounts, including delivering assigned sales and profit goals, assisting in data collection and analysis, developing and making presentations and building relationships.

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The Key Account Manager will work in partnership with the National Sales Managers on key major accounts and deliver sales and profit goals. Responsibilities will grow over time as abilities develop.
  • Manages existing customer relationships and identifies opportunities to drive revenue.
  • Manages day to day customer interactions, key account management activities, including buyer communication, business analytics, forecasting and business planning with the customer.
  • This position works with confidential information in regards to product costs, pricing, new product development and new advertising programs.

  • Typical challenges of this positon are ensuring proper communication and follow-through in regard to National Sales Managers’ needs, account issues, and logistical areas of sales.

Manufacturing Engineer - Fluent in Vietnamese (verbal and written)

Wahl is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer that will interface and support our factory and suppliers located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.  This position will be located in our global headquarters in Sterling, IL.  The candidate must be fluent in Vietnamese (verbal and written) and must be able to travel to Vietnam frequently.

 

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide manufacturing and operational support to our Vietnam operations and suppliers
  • Identify, direct, and support projects that will achieve quality, delivery, and cost targets

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Animal, Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and team-oriented individual to fill the role of Marketing Manager Animal Products at Wahl Clipper Co., in Sterling, IL.  This position is responsible for leading all marketing activities of the Wahl Professional North America Animal Products division, including Professional Pet, Pet Specialty, Equine, Veterinary and Large Animal segments.  The Marketing Manager is a self-directed marketing professional who is responsible for developing strong long and short-term brand, marketing, promotional, new product development and merchandising strategies.

 

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Advocate for the brand vision, strategy and positioning in the marketplace.
  • Develop comprehensive market strategies, including product positioning and competitive analysis.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and calendars by brand, segment and channel.
  • Ability to prepare creative briefs and direct internal/external resources.

  • Mentor marketing team, develop their skill sets and create individual develop plans for each.

  • 5+ years of related experience in a CPG or related environment
  • Strong new product development and marketing experience required
  • Strong leadership, creative, problem-solving, presentation, planning and organizing skills
  • Proven ability to convert strategies into operational plans and tactical execution
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to set priorities according to business needs
  • Ability to take initiative and resolve complex marketing issues
